Michael brings over 30 years of teaching experience to Vic Hadfield Golf & Learning Centre. Having been at Glen Abbey Golf Club (2012-2020). One of Canada’s most famous golf courses and host to 30 Canadian Open Championships.

Prior to Glen Abbey Michael was based at Lionhead Golf & Country Club from 2008-2011 privately operating his own academy. Overseeing junior camps, leagues, ladies clinics, golf schools, private and group lessons.
From 1999-2008 he acted as the Executive Director of Golf for the Academies at Golf Town. Assembling a team of over 40 Canadian PGA Professionals for 35 stores across Canada. Responsible for developing the company’s teaching philosophy. In what became a multi-million dollar Academy operation. Recruiting, training and managing all Canadian PGA instructors Nationwide. Traveling the world researching state-of-the-art simulators, launch monitors and teaching software. While integrating a club fitting certification program for all staff throughout Canada! Forging Golf Town as the go to destination for golf instruction and to receive an expert club fitting experience!
Having apprenticed at The Board of Trade Golf & Country Club he entered into the golf business at the age of sixteen. Starting a full-time teaching career 10 years later at Lionhead in 1995 and then Glen Abbey in 1997. Premiere facilities laying the foundation for establishing his teaching philosophy. And working with some of Canada’s most accomplished NCAA player’s. Very talented athletes who went on to play the Canadian and Nationwide Tours and several PGA Tour events.
As a dad he mentored his son Damon Crane. A member of 13 CJGA Team Canada’s & 3 U.S World Cup International squads. One of the youngest competitor's at the age of 14 to ever qualify for the Canadian Amateur. Accumulating numerous tournament victories, a low score of 65 and 3 hole-in-ones!
